I don't think the police are going to get involved. Shop owners will deal with the rules.
No I mean when (if) you get pulled over in roadblocks - Just going on Cele's comments on arresting you if you have alcohol in your car. I'm just feeling a bit paranoid about it all, or more just annoyed with the lack of clarity

By giving the impression that your local supermarket would be open as normal Cyril Ramaphosa basically lied. It will be open but the politburo will decide what you can and cannot buy from it.

This now far exceeds the realm of what is strictly necessary to fight the spread of the virus.
Pisses me off because we were told not to panic buy. I got nothing. I did my big shop end of last and decided i will do it when the panic is over. The shops will be quiet and mostly stocked.

It's counterintuitive - all it's doing (right now) is massively spreading it because of the panic buying the rules are causing

Yet clothing is technically essential?

No, the government wants the rich and poor to be wearing rags in 21 days time.

BTW, no mention of laundromats. I don't have a washing machine, and will run out of clean clothes long before the lockdown ends...

Exactly. It's getting more retarded by the day.

Maybe the president isn't in charge. The security cluster in cabinet were the ones that drew up the regulations...

Just wanted to say that they should have let one guy do the talking. Everyone else should just have said it will be addressed.

I already do that, remember we had water restrictions in Cape Town not long ago. There's only so many times you can wear the same pair of underpants! I guess there's always the bath and sunlight soap option...

Not so sure food can wait, based on the above link - We're expected to live on canned food, frozen vegetables, rice and long life milk ?
No fresh fruit or vegetables ? No butter, or even bread ? No sweets or cooldrinks at all?
I was impressed with how government was handling this, but this really just feels like an unnecessary punishment for the sake of it now

You are being absolutely ridiculous, do you really expect the draft to list every single item that you can buy. Please use some common sense and stop panicking.
