Quick one :

Does a person need a big fancy PC or GPU to run UHD resolution?

Not gaming, but maybe crisper text and looking at photos etc

If you're not gaming, then no, you don't need an expensive GPU.

with the HDMI cable it will run at 30Hz , so you'll need the DP cable to run at 60Hz

I have one of these already for coding and it's a great monitor.
If you were in CPT I would have snapped it up. GLWS!
