From The Inquirer....

E7EVEN has a deal to celebrate London's winning the 2012 Olympics. Get a 2MB ADSL broadband connection for only £240 for two years - £10 per month. You get free connection but you will have to bring in your own modem. You pay in advance but you only have to do it once. Their support is superb and you get an unlimited, uncapped and unmetered service.

Excuse me, while I go and kill myself :D

Today the test launch 0f 100MB VDSL Speed has started in 6 major German cities.
I spoke to a friend in Munich today and he was over the moon. Download with an approx. speed of 10 Mbyte/s. This is out ouf my imagination. We spoke about 5 minutes...during this time he downloaded a movie of 1.3 GB......

*just speechless and totally jealous*

Telkom must be doing special technical stuff with the bandwidth that we get, they must be with the extra costs added to the 'service' and the inflated prices they charge us, I mean they wont try and rob us will they? ROFL
Just short of R1000 per month for a 512 ADSL service as opposed to R120 pm for a 2MB, maybe we get special gold star bandwidth or something.
Oh pray do tell if the 2MB service also has a 3 gig cap, giggle.

What gets to me is, irrespective of our so-called "Expensive Bandwidth", what E7EVEN is offering @ R119.5 is a FRACTION of the cost we pay just for Telkom LINE-RENTAL.
Go figure, only in SA.

Gotta be one of the nastiest web site I have seen in a while.

"You shall not use the Service:"

"(c) to send, knowingly receive, upload, download, use or re-use any material which is abusive, indecent, defamatory, obscene or menacing, or in breach of any copyright, confidence, privacy or any other rights;"

Sorry P2P bunnies. You get pwned on this connection.

I am no contract guru but I would assume that a similar type of clause would appear in most isp contracts anywhere, and for the record, there is a big wide world out there that does not involve P2P.

On P2P, i mean downloading illegal stuff via Kazaa, Bittorrent and so on. They are very strict in the UK. More so than over hear.
P2P is a very broad term.
