Howzit guys,

Been out of the ADSL game for a few years now, still using Telkom mobile as my broadband provider.

However, i'm looking at getting rid of the last scraps of dstv and streaming all my content(Netflix or similar).
I've heard that a 2mb line should be sufficient for normal streaming and using netflix, but is that the case?

Also, whats the cheapest/best value for money ISP? and which package?

I'm going through other threads, but would appreciate some suggestions from guys in the area.

Cheers.

2mb would work, but you will still have to buffer a fair bit depending on what quality you're watching.
As far as best isp package I'd recommend you have a look on mybroadband and see how others rate the isp's streaming services, some have more problems than others, so price might not be the only indicator.

Generally though if you can afford it a business acc is the way to go due to lower Shaping and throttling and what not...

For a quick comparison on price vs gigs and just generally check out hellkom.co.za

Good luck

4Mbs would probably suit you better but that's debatable.
