2nd Monitor

My 6 year old 2nd monitor, a Dell, went pink on me yesterday, green is dead, so I'm looking at replacing it.
Takealot has a Dell E1916HV 18.5" at R999 & a Acer V206HQL 19.5" at R1099.

It's to be a 2nd screen for my ASUS laptop.
Obviously, at least to me, an extra R100 for a bigger screen is worthwhile, any comments, suggestions?

At the low end, as long as you go for a reputable brand you're very unlikely to get shafted. Depending on your budget I'd go for at least a 24" though. Way more comfortable in terms of viewing size, especially if you're spending many hours on the damn thing. You can get Dell 24" monitors for 2k or so.
