3-D Animation Film uses 142 Terabytes of data

That is a train load of space requirement just for a movie! shoot load of 1's n Zeros.

I wonder what redundancy they have as well as what version control system!

Now do they delete the drafts after the movie is finalized?
That is a load of data to store for time and eternity.

BAH! 142 teebeez. i do that in a day with my Vodacom LTE 100Mbps thingy and R10000000000000000000000000 phone bill.

Interesting to note that some budget movies turn out to be blockbusters, while some expensive over-the-top movies fails to perform...

What always amuses me is to watch the directors commentary on the bonus features.

I remember with Monsters INC.:
"We spend a gazillion hours to get Sully's hair to move naturally in the breeze..."

I appreciate it and if I noticed it it would probably still not have blown my mind, why not spend all that money on a decent script then?
In the last couple of years there has been a barrage of animation hitting the cinema screens with only one or two being classics. If even my kid doesn't want to watch it (and they watch any darn thing you put in front of them) then you know you failed miserably!

Do also remember that if something doesn't look natural, then those movie critics amongst us give the movie an even lower rating because, "the graphics are bad and the movements are unnatural". The "small" things count much more than you realise.
