tbh, I don't think corruption and bee is that bad when you compare with high taxes and labour laws. however some investors see corruption is a good opportunity for them.
But would you invest in a country, where you are forced to employ people not on experience but only because of colour?

And if your company makes more than certain amount of money, you have to give % to upcoming companies etc...

BEE is more than just skin colour...

as I said, BEE is bad but not that bad you know.

investors concern about the return of their money, for corruption and BEE that will classify as part of their costs to do businesses in SA. if their returns are large enough, that is acceptable.

You can strike number 1 off your list. WMC is done with the ANC and South Africa. They will not be saving anything here. If any person, for one second, think that rich Western countries will invest billions of Dollars in SA, they are dreaming and fell for the Socialist propaganda. America can't afford to pay this money to SA, they are currently struggling to invest in their own infrastructure. They have massive debt and trying to borrow and print more money to do so.

Forget about all this propaganda.

The article says the opposite of what you think.

And look at the country's "freedom". Children can't even game more than 1 hour per day (or something).

And Evergrande issues.. not good at all.

Bad decisions ...

I guess most of the investor's children are not in China. :p

Any company with billions to invest is going to look at ZA and think "hmmm" should I invest here and watch it all get stolen and squandered.

the only ones who might are China because their end goal is slow-colonization of Africa by making it look like they're friendly and they care. When in fact they want the land and the resources. But they've found a slower, "we're helping you" approach is easier to con Africa than with than blazing guns and drones.
