30 days on Telkom ADSL and......

I really feel like cancelling this rubbish promo of R399. 1st week was OK then the trouble started, now even worse. Now i can hardly open pics on FB. I've logged a complaint a while ago and they said their is nothing wrong with my connection
Speedtest is OK but the throughput is not.

Those stats don't look that bad. Assuming that you have a 1Mb line or a 4Mb line in a very slow area or on a congested exchange.

Could be a slow area cos they say there is no congestion here.

Nothing wrong with your line - bloody good for a 1Mbps account!

Check your software settings - AV, firewall, etc.

You could be a victim of "early evening" congestion... do a tracert between 6-9pm and compare it to this morning's results.

OK i'll check during that time, but it was at 12:43 AM this morning when it happened. Now it's OK again, but this is not happening all the time. It's unstable sometimes during the day as well.

I cant see being bumped up to 2 Meg will be any better - coz evryone sitting on your exchange will also be bumped up.
I foresee it being a disaster like last year.

Now it shows a timeout on hop 7? On FB a few pics took a while to load.
