300Mb of my data just disappeared!

I loaded a 500mb data bundle on the 19th of April and 7 days later all my data is gone. according to my data counter i've only used 200mb. where did the other 300mb go?
I bought this sims card 3 months ago and only use it for data, I read in one of the other threads that if a chargable phone call is not made in 3 months (Data doesnt count as a call) then the sim is deactivated.
This is unacceptable, i want my 300mb that i paid for.

Can anybody help me?

If you loaded a data bundle then that should be enough to stop sim deactivation.

First off, Welcome to the forum haddyman.
See if MTN_DATA_DUDE is online and then try to track him and get answer. He will check it out and come back with a reason from the data guys.

Well, I gave MTN customer care a call and they say the data bundle wasn't loaded and that i was being charged out of bundle rates. However I do recall that my purchase was successful. They've escalated my query so i'm just waiting for them to get back to me.

I cant see any record of a bundle loaded on 19/04/2007. How did you load?IVR or USSD?

:eek: If you used out of bundle for 500meg then thats what? Like R1000.00 :eek: :eek:

I used IVR. The voice prompt confirmed my purchase of the 500mb bundle. But according to MTN's records there was no purchase. You'll also see on the records that i purchased R200 and then another R60 airtime on the 19th which i used to buy the bundle.

and yes i was probably charged R2 out of bundle for roughly R260 's worth of data.

I can see the recharges. But I cant see any bundles loaded. I can see the call to 141 though. I am trying to get some information from IVR support to see what happened to the call.

I just confirmed now. We even check the logs on the IVR for requests for the data provisioning. There is nothing. We only see the recharge. no bundle was loaded.

Maybe he must try to reload the data bundle, Would that work, if there is no record of it?

Yes it would. As long as 30days has passed from the previous loading of a bundle. I see he has already done this though :D

Thanks for the help Dr. Data. I appreciate that you tried to find out what happened. You guys are doing a great job.
As it stands I'm going to have to write off the R250 as just one of those things that happens but i'll continue to use MTN's services.
Oh well.
