If you want to have more fun in FPS's, try to get a 144hz monitor and decide on the native resolution at which you'll get a decent framerate on.
I'd rather run at 90fps+ / 1440p / 32", before switching to 4K.
So even planning to upgrade to an RTX3080, I'll stick to my 1440p monitor and have a high framerate for some time.
On the AOC 1440p: G-Sync compatibility broke on some games - so it's freesync - no idea what difference that makes.
Also it seems to have no speaker, or I couldn't get it working. Couldn't even relay audio to the headphone jack. If any of that matters.
On curved: I'm a hardcore flatscreener, but the curved is fine... maybe nicer if you're too close for the screen size.
