Actually having uncapped that works all the time would be amazing. International bandwidth from IS is pretty damn bad. Only use em for the local cap

You're supposed to get 64kbits after you're 'capped', but I'm not sure if you actually get that.

You don't. At all of our clients who use iBurst (they only do because they're still waiting for telkom to install their ADSL), they get hard cut off the moment they hit the cap. Still connected, but there's no data going through that connection.

I pull about 2Gb a day on my IS uncapped with VERY little problem, so I'd say it is pretty damn good!

Yes, the uncapped part is really good. If you're a download junkie, and would like unlimited downloads, it's great. For some people the speed isn't such an issue, but for me it's critical. If I'd have to download something at 30KB/s..... whew....

Yes - 73 last month, 62 so far this month. That is about as much as I can deal with anyway! ;)

Yes you do get that, everytime and it works great.. I dont know why people seem to think its a lie.. its one of the main reasons alot of people get Iburst.

I know people who get capped around the first week of every month and live on uncapped.

btw, its R599 for 3 gigs.

ja, well no idea what you did to your poor clients Iburst connections :p
Unless they are on the I-go packages, the ones under 1 gig. Its only on the 1G and up packages that you have 64kb after access. Which makes sense, if you want less than 1 gig I doubt you need more than you are asking for.

yea, its not that bad at all - i do alot of other things on the pc and around the house - so downloading something that will take a little wile is fine by me - worth the wait.

So if you downloading constantly at 40kb/s for 30days non-stop you will get around 100gigs...

And the cost for uncapped + rental = R945...

Currently this month i have paid: R515(1024 line rental)+R150(2/28gig)+R140(30gig local) = R805
Total gigs downloaded so far: +-90gigs, still have 5days to go...

I personally think i would stick with the speed, cause when i do need something i get it within minutes :)

But there is a big differance between local and international uncapped.

most people will find it very hard to use local, if you dont use the DC++ server or one of those uber secretive (probably not going to get in, n00b) torrent sites, then what will you use your local on?

But 100gigs of international is real internet..
