Why did you go with that?
After looking at many reviews of the b1 vs ender 3v2 etc, I figured the b1 is already a better printer to get.

Then I chose the se plus because it had some upgrades and bigger print size over the regular b1.

Only realised later some upgrades will be more of a challenge. But I like that it comes with the SKR board by default etc.

Been playing around with a few of my random little projects, and the Blade guide for my bandsaw is still a work in progress (trying to find a place that supplies bearings in small quantities without charging through the arse for them).

Another project I'm toying with atm, is a topological map of SA, be interesting to see how it much effort it would be.

Just for those who don't get inundated with FaceBoob adverts...

DIYElectronics is having a bit of a sale at the moment, and their CCTree PLA Filament is R199.95 a roll. They have a whole heap of other stuff on sale as well.

I did so last night :)....

Granted not tons of it, but enough to keep me going for a little while at least.
Hopefully enough to get free shipping!

I see I got myself:

1x white roll
1x grey roll
1x orange roll
1x red roll
1x blue roll
1x glow in the dark roll

I also really wanted a green roll but those were already out.
Already have 2 black rolls (only started a week ago with printing).

Anyways I think this will also last me quite a while going by the rate of use on my 1st black roll.

Just for shytes and giggles, I'd say I'm probably about 20% of the way through getting an elevation map of SA into something potentially vaguely printable...

Steep damn learning curve to get this right.... figuring out QGIS has been an interesting exercise in utter UI frustration :p

So that has been the fun part...

I've pieced together the SRTM data from NASA (Sourced it from here : https://earthexplorer.usgs.gov/)

And then had to manually overlay a worldmap, and polygon out the SA borders.

If I get the thing to the point of being able to print, I will definitely post it here for everyone if they want, though I am toying with the idea of making the thing pretty big (2 or 3m wide) so it can be a feature piece on a wall.
