Because of you guys I got myself an Ender 6. I hope you are happy now...

Anywho, if you want to print some upgrades for your Ender 6, give Funkiments Pastel Blue PLA a go. It is a damn close match in colour to the ender accents.

They stock the cheapest PLA in RSA, but it is in my opinion the best. Insanely tight tolerances. I have burned through about 5kg with zero issues.

They are also starting to make PETG today. Can't wait to try theirs out.

Anybody else here tried Funkiments yet?

How does it compare to the ender 3?

I haven't owned my own Ender 3, just played with one. But I have had a stock ender 5, which is very similar to ender 3.

I would say the Ender 6 is better, way better. This machine is BLOODY fast, without dropping quality. I've gone up to 120mm/s and I would say the prints still look better than my 60mm/s prints on my CR10s Pro.
Out of the box, no tweaking. Just slice, print, enjoy.

Do you know their shipping costs? Website isn't the greatest, and don't feel like registering.

Been wanting to try his ABS.

Will be interesting to see the ender 7 speeds with it's claimed 250mm/s

I paid about R150 for my latest order. Was 11kg of filament.
You can always mail them directly, I'm sure they will be more than happy to assist via email. Incidentally, that is how I order as well.

If I may ask, what is wrong with the website?

Yeah, I haven't seen much more reviews or info apart from 3dprintingnerd struggling to get the printer to work properly (and then grinding bits off). Would be insane seeing that thing run at 250.

I'm sure the Ender 6 can reach 200 easily by upgrading a few things, mainly the hotend and extruder. The Biqu H2 looks like a very good option to achieve just that.

I love mine but Im really battling to get a decent PETG prints. PLA at 150 mm/s with no issues
PETG has always given me some issues. It is very sticky and stringy, but I only use it for practical parts which needs to handle heat and sun.

I'll see if I can do a PETG test on my side soon.

What are you using to slice? I found the profile in prusaslicer to work well

I've been using both Cura and Prusaslicer, but I'm leaning more towards Prusa. A few features that beats Cura.

Still learning all the ins and outs of Prusa, but I sure love that gyroid infill. Looks so nice.

I ordered a single roll to give them a shot and delivery was R86 via Aramex. They had two other shipping options that were slightly more expensive as well but not by much....

I see its fine now - tried to order last month and it took forever, so gave up - going to order a roll or two of ABS and see how my printer handles it.

Do you have an enclosure? And what kind of build surface are you using?

I have great success with Funkiments ABS, but I'm using an enclosure (the Creality tent thingie) and Magigoo for my glass bed. That combo is epic. I printed this whole Landy in Funkiments ABS. I was amazed that the suspension works as good as it does.

Yeh, made a Ikea enclosure - thats why I want to try it out - see if it works easily enough or not. (PetG was fine)

Very nice! That looks a lot better and more space friendly than my stupid tent :(
I use 110°C on the bed and get great results.

Show us your ABS results when you get it :)

Only issue I have is changing filament during prints, its a pain in the ass getting to the extruder, I might actually change the design at a later stage to have a side door... or move to direct drive.
