It doesn't list the cheaper E1752 modem among the supported modems, so this may not work - I found that less routers supported this modem. I think that it is the newest, and there is something a bit different with this one - may be supported later with a firmware upgrade.

But the fast E1820 that comes with the 60GB bundle is supported.

This router looks fine, it should work.

I have a B970b and it has the option to select GSM900 and W900 so i assume that it'll work on Cellc. Can someone verify this for me please :)

Thanks

Where did you get it from.

Any Vodashop should sell them. If you can't find it at your local one PM ocleroux he'll hook you up. Make sure you get the B970b, the B970 is the older model and does not support UMTS 900Mhz.

Vodacom Huawei E970b using it on cell c

I have a Huawei B970b #g wireless router but its locked on vodacom, how do I get it working on the cell c network. I was trying to find the original firmware for it but no luck. The vodacom software wont let create a custom apn profile.

The router is not locked to Vodacom. Just find a profile that uses the internet APN and it should work.

Huawei B970b and Cell C Data Bundle

I see that there is quite a nice long thread about this router in the Vodacom section.

Seems to me that the new Cell C data bundle special and this router are made for each other.

Some questions ....

Who has the absolute best price on this item ? ( NON - network specific outlet )

Who has the best price on an external GSM antenna ?

Where can I find some documentation ? ..... the HUAWEI site is ALL chinese to me ( cannot find anything )

Will there soon be an upgraded model with 22 whatever 4G , Gigabit Ethernet ports and 802.11n WiFi ?

Any reports comments from people using this router on the Cell C network.

Thanks

I'm thinking the MikroTik RB411U and a Wireless-N card might be a good solution.
I have got this combination working. I needed to install RouterOS 5.0 (RC3 released 2010/10/29) for it to recognize the modem. Had problems with the connection sometimes getting stuck on EDGE, but switching the modem to '3G Only' with the new MDMA solved this. Still have problems with sometimes only being able to access the Cell C web site though.

Has anyone tried the Huawei E585 Three branded and unlocked Mifi routers with Cell C 3G ?

I am not sure that this device supports UMTS 900MHz, and have seen a lot of contradictory reports, so have been unable to get a definitive answer.

Hi, I would like to purchase the Cell C 60Gb, without the modem. Is there a router that will support this sim card, does such a thing exist? What are the prices?
I want to connect my xbox, and 2 laptops wirelessly. Would that b possible? Help ASAP!

Yes, B970b, amongst others. You have to have a router which supports 3G at 900mhz, (sometimes called W-CDMA or HSPA+ at 900Mhz)

I got the TP-LINK MR3420 router and the Cell C E1820 modem working beautifully.

Cool! Does the router have an interface where you can send or receive SMS or check your data bundle balance through USSD?

I also bought the TP-LINK MR3420 router and it does not have USSD and SMS features. I am still happy that I bought it even though I have to check my usage on my pc, I have not seen any difference in Quality of my connection in the router or my pc

I got the TP-Link MR3420 working with Cell C E1752 without a problem.
