I live in Scholtz Street, Somerset West, as well, and can't believe MTN is so far behind Vodacom regarding 3G roll out. As far as I know I am in the "Heldervue" cell..

Snakepit, could you please let the Coverage Supervisor know about the need for better coverage in Somerset West (and for that matter, the rest of SA)?

I have noticed the past few days that my phone started to say yellow broadband. I was very excited and switched my phone to 3G (Nokia E70). No 3G signal?? Was the towers upgraded. Should I get 3G? I live in 24 Andries Pretorius Street. Somerset West.

I see that I now get 3G here in Technopark Stellenbosch. Thanks!

I checked the address provided- the yellow broadband you see is for edge, not 3g.
