3G Problems in Claremont Area

Hi,

does anybody know if there is/has been some issues in the claremont area especially in the cavendish side??

i have not been able to use 3G/GPRS at all...

This has been an issue for some time. Repeatedly asking customer services to fix it has come to nought. MTN reliability/consistancy is better in this area, but speed is not as perky as Vodacom (when it does work that is ).

It seems 2 b back up again... I am browsing right now with opera on my phone... Lightning fast!!! Yipeee... It just such anoyance when the connection is down...

I am having problem in town. Are you using a 64k Sim start with 8945.. - I have a feeling there is something wrong with the porting of my SIM.

Edit: Getting 619 connection error on all my Vodacom Simms now

yip - i have a 64k simcard... 619 errors has something to do with the towers... i am not entirely sure about that though - best to check with v3g. he is a great help and bearer of lotsa good information.
