3G Problems

A collegue has just given me a call saying he is having 3G problems in Lakeside, Cape Town. Has anyone else had this problem? He said he phoned Vodacom and they said the whole system was down, but I am in town and 3G is working fine for me.

I was told by customer care yesterday evening that the 'internet' was down though I still managed to connect.
