So I bought a DC Jack to USB-C Converter (https://www.robotics.org.za/JACK-USBC) for my Dell laptop, thinking I'll be able to plug the charger into the convertor, then into the dock together the HDMI, etc, which I'll then connect via a single USB-C cable to the laptop.
Problem is that the converter's input jack is 5.5mm while the Dell charger is 4.5mm. So I need to get a convertor from 4.5mm to 5.5mm to use the above USB-C convertor. Any ideas where I could buy one? Had a look online but can't seem to find anything.
The alternate is to get another DC jack to USB-C convertor, but with a 4.5mm input jack, which seemingly impossible to find in SA.
Dell has one (https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-adapter-45mm-barrel-to-usb-c/apd/470-acfg/pc-accessories) on Amazon, but doesn't seem worth it at approx. $40 / R680.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
