It’s understood the policemen repeatedly kicked two male suspects in holding cells at Honeydew Police Station last week, with one of the victims succumbing to his injuries.

JOHANNESBURG – Police watchdog the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid) says it was investigating the circumstances surrounding allegations that police officers beat a man to death at a holding cell in Honeydew.

Beating up prisoners was standard practice for the KGB during the cold war and our government is a product of Stalinist USSR so nobody should be surprised.

In the unlikely event that any prosecution happens, a witness testifying to the events of "Friday, on 20 October" will seriously damage the case.

Beating up prisoners was also a standard practice during the National Party era, why go looking for excuses in faraway places like Russia?

I am not arguing with you and I am not looking for excuses for the Nats but it is a fact that the Tutu Revenge Crowd was not able to blame the Nats for more than 7000 deaths during the 40 year lifetime of apartheid. Communism in the USSR killed off some 40 million people and shaped EVERYTHING that the ANC is today.

Thabo Mbeki, ALONE, killed some 365 000 South Africans simply by withholding medication for AIDS patients in his few years at the trough.

The ANC attitude to civil rights today is unchanged from that of Stalin in his worst years.

Nonesense. It was not common practice then. Not all prisoners were beat up by police. Terrorists bombing and or killing innocent victims, well, that was another matter.

Nonsense. That was the lies you were fed and now believe to be true.

Yeah, no boet, never heard of those yellow vans loading up drunk folk with a spare wheel in the back?

Which was also a s**t story. This did not happen, especially not pre-1994. Any person who was a cop or even a reservist back then will tell you that.

That was natural selection within an ethnic group. Darwin nightmare if you want. Doesn't really count as murder. No one in the New South Africa's leadership intended to murder their own supporters. Nobody in their right mind will hold someone to account, if the person is not able to accomplish a given task because of natural causes
