Wow our notes are so worthless she used a Canon Pixma to print them, no special paper no special press. Which means it would've all been the same serial numbers as well.
Though if it's used in spaza shops most wouldn't even notice

Kganyago said the production of fake cash “tarnishes the credibility of the currency, thereby impacting negatively on the growth of an economy”.
David Madondo, South Africa’s deputy finance minister, said counterfeiting could result in high inflation.
“Not only is there a risk that the public could lose confidence in the currency, but there is a greater risk that substantial counterfeiting could generate an increase in the supply of money, thereby causing inflation,” he said.
The corrupt cANCer putty government has consistently had a far more damaging effect on the country's economy.

The corrupt cadres responsible for loadshitting killed the economy.

Besides, anyone counterfeiting runt notes is not going to be rich in the real world (outside of Africa) where the runt is worthless.

Darn, she could have put her energy into making crafts with that talent.

Police have little clue how far and wide money washing is prevalent in this country. There simply aren't enough resources. I wonder how long it will take Reserve Bank to fix their mistake with the design of the new banknotes.

Didn't she fake the old notes?

They actually do. The info is there, it's massive and sometimes it's extremely perverse. What lacks is the will.

Would this interest you? Or would you rather like to hire my Canon Pixma at only R2000/day?

The Sunday Times reports that her method involved scanning authentic notes, printing them using her home printer, and touching them up with nail polish and dyes.
