I refill my black HP cartridge myself. Bought 1 liter ink for R300.
Cartridge takes 4ml ink and prints 80 - 100 pages per 4ml.

That's about 20 000 - 25 000 pages for R300.

Can do the same with the colour cartidge, just need to buy 3 liters.

Thing is ink can't stand still before it clots, laser doesn't have that problem and is also "refillable".

Haven't had that problem at all. Ink is still as liquid as the day I bought it.

Reminds me of an Anon posting how they ordered $5000 worth of prop-money from Amazon and went to the strip club.
Paid the entry fee and drinks with real money ($30 overall) and had a crazy time with private lap-dances, etc.
He can never go back there, off course, but does it matter?

Just print a page every week or 2 weeks and your cartridge should be fine.

So you're saying there is a chance to break even!

Had a laser, it broke, and got this one for free, so just bought the ink and saved some Randelas.

Where? Printer is designed for specific ink so unless you get the same viscosity and colour results won't be on par.
