470,000 Eskom customers must update their prepaid electricity meters daily for no one to be left behind

.
Don't people that buy for 6 months in advance pay higher fees per unit?

I always assumed Eskom calculated the rate on prepaid as units purchased per calendar month.
They do calculate like that.
But I know e.g. a friend's family's beach house is used infrequently. They buy a couple of hundred Rand every few months, still under the higher rate for the month, and that "lasts" for a couple of months.

FFS at long last. My one meter has been rolled over to KRN2 about a month ago but I could not buy through any bank or online vendor.

I got a local Eskom guy's contact details and finally all is sorted. FFS this is for a holiday home where I need to send my caretaker the tokens to enter on the meter.

The first token clears the cache that stores last 50 loaded tokens as the unit will not accept any token older than the oldest one in that list.

Would then this have meant I could have cleared the cache, reload some recent tokens, clear cache, reload, etc.

Only then do I do the full reset and bump.

I just bought a token from prepaid24.co.za Got a full receipt with lots of stuff including the KRN number. I suppose they would also then give the upgrade tokens if need be.
Liar.

We all know Donald J Trump doesn't use prepaid.
