To add to @KopiteZA's observation, maybe.

When I had the R250 option with a 1Gb add-on, before 6pm, internet service sucked. After 6pm internet service was much better.

Now that I am on the R470 option, I've noticed improved service throughout the day. (I have used the rain huawei tool to force the B315-936 router to use B38/41. I have not tested on the 1800Mhz band)

Pretty decent speeds there hay, been considering the uncapped package, i am in the Umbilo area.

Was that just plug and play or have you fiddled with settings etc?

Has anyone noticed very low speeds around 4pm to 6pm on the 19hrs uncapped R250 package?

I had this exact issue. Are you by any chance able to force you router to use the 2600Mhz band? If your router supports the B41 (2500MHz) TDD band then it will work on Rain's 2600MHz Band 38 frequency. Albeit with a really crappy upload speed. The caveat is that the cell tower that you connect to will need to support the 2600MHz band.

I am now on the 24/7 Unlimited option., but results we almost the same on the 19hr uncapped option. My Router is a borrowed B315-936

I'm yet to make time to look into bands & frequency - using a B618 and when I do a test in the morning my speeds are usually as follows on the 24/7 uncapped 4G. No VPN or anything fancy.

It's only from the afternoon 4pm-6pm that I see such shockingly low speedtests - strangely enough internet still works. Full bars by the looks of things but internet feels slow. Works and pages dont fail to load etc but somehow it feels slower than usual. Yesterday I noticed the same thing but was busy with work so opted to just stick in the 24/7 sim in that gives me 10mbps up and down.

My speed on the 19Hr uncapped was 30Mbps, has been for weeks. Immediately after I upgraded to the 24Hr option the speed dropped to 10Mbps. Gonna downgrade it again when the lockdown ends.

The 24hr option is stated as such - 10mbps up and down. So you are getting exactly what they advertise. Many around here aren't as lucky.

Yea I'm not quite sure what the problem is? You clearly accepted the package knowing it's limitations?

The problem is that it should be 10/10 during peak hours not all hours. In my opinion. I am entitled to my own opinion and signing terms and conditions without reading them and then complaining about it. Isn't that what we do here?

lol I caught the joke!
Yea it would be nice if they made the peak hours 10/10 after the lockdown eases in the future and that's what some of us expected they would roll out in the beginning but whatever
