500 mb missing on prepaid

Thanks MTN. Very nice.

I bought a 500 mb prepaid data bundle yesterday on 143. I used 5 mb and according to network on "*141#" I have 299.45 mb left - what happened to the other 200 mb?

The roughly 300MB of data that was left on my 350MB prepaid bundle also just disappeared, looks like there might be problems with the launch of the new bundles maybe?

I thought I was going crazy over the weekend. At least it seems I'm not the only one. I also had about 600MB of my 1GB bundle (which I bought on 12/02) left on Sunday morning, when a download I had going suddenly stopped. I popped out the sim and checked the balance on my sim in the cellphone. To my surprise it showed R0.00 available!!!!

This happened some time between 07h00 and 08h00 yesterday. I'd like to know what happened and also what's gonna happen to my lost data? That was suppose to last me 'til the end of Feb.

Had exactly the same happen to me. 200 Mb just disappeared. :mad: But when I checked via *141# again later in the afternoon it was back again :) Maybe they ran out and had to borrow some from us because of the rush of people now going onto MTN because of the great new pricing.......:D :D

Happened to me again today around 12:30 to 13:00. Connection became very slow and could not connect to the net at all. Checked balance on *141# again, after checking it about half and hour previously and found 200 Mb had been deducted. As of now still not back. Will check later and advise.

Pre-paid have found the problem AFAIK and is attending to it.

Syndyre spoke to them so he should have more info on this. But sounds like there has been a System problem with the 350MB bundles

Just checked now again. Seems to all be back. Tracking my usage through data counter program and the amount given by MTN is correct within a meg or so.
