My 100Mbit Openserve connection costs R1.5k already. For my needs, 500Mbps would be amazing for uploading backups. Downloads already not much of a concern at my existing speed.

That sounds like quite a good deal. I thought I was doing OK with 100/100 uncapped fibre for 750 bucks p/m and this is twice the price for 5X the speed. Not bad.
