Can I register for a 5 Rand a day, recurrent subscription, with a CellC Pay as you Go account? And where can I check my bill and calls made/received, on the net? Must I subscribe for something? Does it cost extra?

Think you can only check your balance. I just dial *101# to get balance. The other features are usually for contracts, although I am not sure.
As for R5 per day, is this for airtime?. I know you can do this via internet banking, but R5 is so ridiculously low.

If you want ringtones/fancy wallpapers there are better ways to get them... in future stay off e-tv.

I would like to check where the money went. It looks like it is some recurrent subscription or something. I don't want to buy anything. I just want to make it stop if indeed it is happening.

iTouch thieves tel nr?

Does any of you chaps know the tel number of iTouch crook company from Capetown? The one CellC gave me is of course not working anymore (021-4178001) CellC customer care confirmed that there is a 5Rand a day recurring deduction from my pay as you go CellC account. Any idea how can I stop this nonsens? And how did they get my number in the first place? Is iTouch allowed to take money of my pay go account just like that? WTF

Not to sure if this will help. I found this a while back. Enter the number from whom you are receiving the services on the site. The contact details of the people behind that number will then be provided to you.

Hope you get it sorted

Thank you for the replies. I do not receive any sms's or anything. I just realised that someone is sneaking 5 Rand every day from my account. I still can not understand how CellC can let someone deduct money from a pay as you go account without any proof of some contract or prior agreement. I am very carefull with any of my accounts and that was whe reason I picked up the fraudulent deductions. Imagine how many do not even realise why their accounts get emptied. Keep in mind, I am not talking about a credit card bank account! CellC is really irresponsable to let something like this happen. If I can't stop the nonsens I will throw away the Simcard and get me a new one :D

I feel sorry for you. My dad had a similar situation and it was not easy to get out of it. WASPA did eventually sort out the mess. It is blindly easy to subscribe to something and almost impossible to opt out again. I wonder what the CPA has to say about this "easy subscriptions".

cell c or the WASP should be able to unsubscribe you, if you are sure you never subscribe to this service and complain to wasp you can get your money back, after a bit of time and a fight.

HI

See with WASP you have to contact then directly, they will investigate and if due will credit you.
See you don't have WASP systems to access, they do have a good turn around time on queries.
