Don't sweet talk me. FIX THE DAMN PROBLEM

5th time trying to download 126mb driver file. USED UP 500MB TRYING.

I am tired, tired, tired, tired. CellC does not give a *****.

Take 5 minutes to load this page to edit it.

This webpage is not available
Google Chrome could not load the webpage because mybroadband.co.za took too long to respond. The website may be down, or you may be experiencing issues with your Internet connection.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this webpage later.
Check your Internet connection. Restart any router, modem, or other network devices you may be using.
Add Google Chrome as a permitted program in your firewall's or antivirus software's settings. If it is already a permitted program, try deleting it from the list of permitted programs and adding it again.
If you use a proxy server, check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working. If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server, adjust your proxy settings: Go to the wrench menu > Options > Under the Hood > Change proxy settings... > LAN Settings and deselect the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" checkbox.
Error 118 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT): The operation timed out.

Do yourself a favour and check your network coverage on the CellC website. I know some areas aren't covered very well.

If none of the above suggestions solve the problem, try downloading using a proxy server, although a small chance it might actually be the actual solution.

HI Oakavenue

What file are you trying to down load?
Would like to test it.
Might be due to poor coverage.
I know you have been having an issue.

It could just be your reception...Call Cell C and tell them your problem. Might even be a software/firmware problem.
In the meantime just use a download manager, I use ORBIT. it works great

Its always better to get a download manager program. So, if you connection breaks, you can resume where you left off.
Unless there is corrupted data on the source server or transparent proxy (or other ISP related issue). If file can be downloaded from other ISP, it is the later one. See similar thread on the Vodacom section Dec/Jan. Download manager couldn't help in that case.

CellC rep, you know that I have problems. I am sitting slap in the middle of 3 towers. What are you going to do to fix my problem. You promised me in October last year that you will sort me out. What happened to that. Just promises as usual. I am getting very tired and gatvol.

I don't use the internet at home often. And every time I do I get so frustrated when pages time out, extremely slow page loads etc.

I had a 28k modem in 1994 and I have never had these problems. Page loads were slow but never the kind of problems I am experiencing here.

I am sitting in Strubens Valley between 3 towers.

I actually feel that I have been robbed with the kind of service and feedback from CellC.

I wish I never spent that R3000 with CellC. I could have been better spent somewhere else.

If anyone is reading this post. Do your self a favour and stay away from CellC.

Goo Day Oakavenue

I did provide you with feedback email and called you Nov 28, 2011 3:58 PM
About you coverage :
As per Networks:
"There are no sites in the clients immediate area, however there is a site coming up in Strubensvalley."
The three tower around you are not Cell C towers, you just roam on them.

I have reloaded a new call to ask them for a date as to when site will be build.
Have sent them through your old case TT as well, to show then you have been having this issue, for a while.
Have requested a speed reply.

Hi Solitude

The 21mb/s modem. And no speed to talk about.

I am sure there is quite a few people living in my area with the same problem.

I was promised that a tower would go up in December 2011.

In my office we have 30 people sharing a 4mb/s line with amazing speeds with no problems at all.

Then I get home to get frustrated with pages timing out and connections being dropped. With a 21mb/s modem.

It is a wonder that I have not had a heart attack.

Like I said in one of my previous posts, I am not a noobie when it comes to the internet. Have been involved with is since 1994.

Let me just copy this post in case my connection gets dropped or the page times out.

In you other thread you wrote about depleting 5GB monthly allocation and about using another 1.5GB bundle in one month. I wonder how it is possible if there is no speed to talk about?
