Something that was mentioned a few posts ago, that does raise an interesting issue.....
Previously (ok and granted this was in the "good" old days, and thats in HUGE inverted commas cos they weren't good), but if a person came into your house.... the issue of protecting yourself was fairly simple if i remember correctly.... now its no longer an issue of protecting yourself, you are basically not free to protect yourself in your own home anymore, and that for me is a HUGE worry... my home is supposed to be my safe-haven, and nowadays its not... its just the local shopping mall for opportunistic passers-by.... That is an issue that has to be looked at I think, along with the issue of the police and the procedures that arise after a shootout should they injure/kill a criminal.
Basically lately it seems that criminals have more protection than normal citizens and thats a very dangerous position to be in as a country, plus of course we have Mr Yengeni, who is a convicted felon, being escorted to prison like a Hero, that kind of attitude also needs to change for things to start getting to some sense of normality.
