I am all for this, but only conditions hangings are publicly done. Not sure how their laws work to hang citizens who commit crimes abroad. But, it sounds good.
They are saying some are wanted for crimes in Lesotho and just jump over and SA authorities are not very helpful.

Have you seen cars with those pyramid shaped grass hats in the back window ? It's them.

Number plates like these:

Seriously? What self respecting cadre has time to profit share the Zama Zama peanuts? What's wrong with a lucrative tender from one of the many SOEs or one for building a dodgy stadium in Enoch Mgijima municipality?

The ANC was and most likely still is involved in drug running and cross border car theft rackets. The head of the Zimbabwe customs spent two years in Chikurubi max for exposing the car racket.

Tell me which cadre could resist this:

The Zama Zamas are a well-organised gang operating in the broader illicit gold industry, worth billions of rands.

The big syndicates, who buy up all the gold and feed the illegal mining, are mostly run by South Africans, as has been proven in exposes in the past.

Errol Velile Presence, CIT heist member and ANC employee at Luthuli House says hi.

You can walk across the Caledon river from Lesotho to SA for most of the year.

We did a number of Drakensberg hikes where it is very easy to enter or exit Lesotho.
Some of these hikes we used known smugglers trails and on one we came across Lesotho nationals crossing the mountain into South Africa with donkeys and bags of dagga.

A friend was security manager at Sandstone Estate outside Ficksburg and the farms in the area had lots of issues with stock theft from Lesotho.
It got so bad they had ex 32 trackers under Koos Moorcroft at some point to track the stock thieves and return the stolen animals.

Lots of Lesotho - SA cross border traffic do not have passports or cross at the border posts.

Also simple maths is that should the rest of the 80% also stop their k@k there would be zero crime and Wakanda would have been achieved even without that Vibranium meteorite..
Solid argument there .

This. Two lifetimes ago used to lay in ambush on sub zero winter nights along these trails waiting for smugglers.:sneaky:

I am blaming the organizers of the event in this instance, they had a responsibility for the safety of those ladies, the place is clearly remote, it just doesn't make sense to me that they couldn't have foreseen the potential of something like this, unless they are foreigners, but even then that is where they were supposed to be even more careful.

whaa-whaa-whee-whaa! well! well! well! what do we have here!?

where is that never ending optimism for our beloved country now!?

hurr durr "you guys are over reacting, so typical", "its not that bad"

until this happens, then you blame the victims

just wondering how you expect a producer, to arrange protection against a gang of armed people in the middle of nowhere.

should everyone going to remote locations have their own mercenaries around just in case? start a little remote war before lunch break. mount a .50 cal machine gun on the back of a jeep. ala rambo.

Where do you get this 20%?
The reason the country is so crime infested is the same reason there are so many undocumented foreigners here. Even if by some miracle you were able to rid the country of all the illegals there'd still be rampant crime unless you solve the misrule and neglect by the ANC. Even removing the ANC will not solve the problems for a long time yet. They have managed to politicise the civil service so much that there's sometimes no difference between the party and state. The civil service is supposed to be professional and agnostic of the politics of the time, but it serves the ANC better this way even if it is to the detriment of the land.
It’s a thumb suck.

The reason the country is the way it is crime wise has to do with multiple things issues.
1. Unemployment
2. Recreational drugs
3. Immigration
Immigration of criminals
Immigration of people who become desperate and turn to criminality
4 there are professional criminals that neither of the above will solve.

We need to ask ourselves beyond political parties, how does a country without borders actively curb criminal syndicates? The fact that I can take you out of this country against your will beyond our police and military jurisdiction is a big problem.

ANC is the reason you are looking for.
