I'm getting nailed by this - the lower sun angle lines up perfectly with some large trees - so my window of production only really starts around 1030 vs 730 in summer
oi thats terrible, we cut down 4 palms my side because of this replaced them with other trees to be shaped not to impact solar in the future

I have a similar experience. I have a dip in production on my one MPPT around 10:30 for about 20 minutes and then a big drop at 15:30 as a result of large trees and changing sun angle which will get earlier as we approach winter. I am looking at DC optimisers as solution, does anyone have any installed and do they help?

Since your geyser is now solar, you're not putting much load on your panels. This is an issue we're all facing - how to increase your daytime load to make more use of your panels.

Next issue is your system mode screen. If you want to reduce your bill, you need to make better use of your batteries. From 17:00 to 21:00 your batteries are set to 100%, which means you're running on grid during peak hours.

You may want to drop that to 60% as a start and see how it goes. But definitely rework your times and battery usage. If you're using high load devices like an oven, air fryer etc during those hours then set a specific time for it to use grid like 17:00 - 19:00 for eg. Also 05:30 - 07:00 is a wasted slot because you're never going to get to 80% - not enough light especially heading into winter, so definitely rework your times to make better use of your batteries...
Thanks will look into time slots for batteries I had kept it this way to avoid killing batteries during peak hours but will reduce to 60% and see.

Also 05:00 is when my geyser is turned on and switched off at 07:00 again and later 10:00 and off at 14:00 then finally on at 16:00 and off 18:00.

I avoided using batteries in morning 05:00 to 07:00 as it can drain them pretty quick but maybe something I also need to reconsider and see how things goes.

Where are you located.

Looks like some if the graphs from the joburg installs.

We are having some clear weather in Cape Town so have perfect bell curves.

Yesterday wasn't a great day. Maybe a sample from a good solar day when things weren't looking right.

Your 5-9pm slot looks very heavy, probably heaters and stuff. That would have killed your battery in no time...

You need to find a graph of a clear day to get a decent understanding of what your system is doing.

Cloudy days are bad for solar. I think my worst day from my 10.37kwp stay is less than 5kwh for the day on the middle of winter.

Some of the joburg guys are getting even less with a similar sized array.

I wish we had the load to produce 15kWh of PV a day  We are producing more PV now if we run the house on batteries overnight but our load is still really light.
