Stranegly at the bottom of this page http://www.8ta.com/plans/postpaid-data/ , the same deal is offered as month to month, not 24 months.

Just loaded a 2+1 bundle on a normal 8ta contract sim
it wasnt available to load previously, but it seems to be working fine so far
hopefully it doesnt get cancelled as well
It looks like 2+1 Promo is no longer limited to non-roaming SIM.

True but read the fine print you still have to be in a Telkom Mobile zone to make use of 2gig+1gig, 60gig+60gig. etc. Option 1, All networks, option 2 Telkom mobile/8ta network.

I don't think anyone expected otherwise

If it is true, I expect many unsatisfied customers charged OOB when leaving 8ta zone.

Morning gents - was at 8ta shop at waterfront this morning. I checked with the lady there, After 24 months, it will continue month to month at the same price - R199, until you decide to terminate.

My Internet 5 promo ends in the middle of July and knowing that I would be overseas at the time, I went into my local 8ta shop (Cresta) in mid-March (before I knew that the promo was ending) to find out what will happen once the contract expires - will it continue on a month-to-month basis at the non-promotional price (R950) or continue month-to-month at R199. Two people told me it continues at R199. I made the one guy sign a document stating such. I'm sure it wouldn't stand up in court (I just hand-wrote it there in the store), but I wanted something in writing to record what he told me, because I wasn't confident that he knew what he was talking about.

It certainly seems crazy to me that they would allow one to continue month-to-month at the promotional rate. I understand that if you have the 10+10 you could continue at R299, because that option is still being offered. But they're not offering the plain 10GB at R199 anymore. I wish someone could definitively confirm this!

Ï was on a promo rate with MTN for about 9 years, so its not impossible
I took out a weekender contract for R30 pm, after the 2 years I didnt upgrade or change packages
I stayed on finally callemheymonth to month and they didnt remove the promo discount

They finally called me about 18 months ago that the promo will be removed, thats when I changed to RBM

Firstly I need to know if we are we allowed to sell/transfer it? What if you use extra gigs and then I'm charged for it?

Rather have peace of mind and sign on the dotted line yourself. Even if they transfer the phone it's subject to vetting.
