8ta ios6.1 update & personal hotspot not supported?

I just recently downloaded the ios 6.1 update and the carrier update for my iphone 5. When looking for my personal hotspot option, it has since disappeared, when located in the Cellular data option, and selected it says "To enable Personal Hotspot on this account, contact 8ta". So i contacted 8ta and they say Personal Hotspots are not supported by 8ta at the moment. umm... i was just using it before the update, how is not supported all of a sudden????
It doesn't seem like the agt i was talking to knew what i was talking about, would appreciate if anyone else can assist, even if you on other networks, has this happened to you?

1. Customer pays for new great Iphone (iPhone to be specific).
2. Customer discovers a worm in the software preventing hotspot on SA networks.
3. Apple says I want more money: "To enable Personal Hotspot on this account, contact 8ta".
4. Number of customers put pressure on 8ta. 8ta under pressure contact Apple.
5. Apple keeps quiet but awaits for a bribe.
6. No bribe paid. Apple releases new software blacklisting all SA networks.

Well, I am on 6.1.1 on my iPhone 4S, and personal hotspot works fine ... , but then my iPhone is with Vodacom ... , my data is with 8ta tho ... , got tired of daylight robbery, as practiced by Vodacom, and moved to the lesser of 2 evils ...
