8ta's 10GB for R199 mobile data promotion extended

Now this is the news I have been waiting on, was worried that the 3GB promotion might end soon. Thank you 8ta
 
10Gb for R199 is a great deal but 24 months is a very long time.
 
Good news that this was extended.
Would be even better news if they can also extend their coverage.
 
Fantastic, I will continue to use the R149 prepaid option for my mobile needs. 8ta actually score because there are months where I don't even use 500mb. I wonder if Vodacom misses my R389 per month...
 
Just a warning to anyone thinking about joining 8ta. I signed up for the 10Gb promo and all was good for the first 2 months and then speed was really bad. Since then I have been trying to cancel my contract and getting nowhere! The shops say they cant help you, you must talk to call centre but the call centre people are useless.

Stay away from 8ta!

Oh bloody hell!! Just make it the standard price already.Anyway see that WACS is being launched today, therefore more bandwidth and national backhaul being improved by the day,does this mean we won't be seeing any price decreases from 8ta for a while or the other cellular networks for that matter?
 
Oh,and how about 10GIG pre-paid and 30GIG+30GIG for below a grand?Come on mix it up 8ta(broad spread).
 
Damn not another extension... I bought the 10GB package last year in November knowing that the deal would end soon and that the connection was still good after testing. A month later they said that they're going to extend the deal for another 6 months. My prediction was that the network was going to go to hell after a few months because of the extension, and it came true this month. The exact same thing happened with CellC. Was great at first and then went to the dogs. Now I have another 18 months left on my contract and I can only expect my connection to keep getting worse. Latency was great up until the end of last month. Now it varies from good to really bad. I have to refresh pages, even mybb forum pages, to get them to load at times.

Good luck, same thing happened to me and fighting with 8ta to get this stupid contract cancelled.
 
Most of us regulars know the times for 'night surfer', but for the sake of the n00bs out there please fix the 12pm -5 pm, 11 am -5am you're referring to in the article. Get your times and am/pm's correct :)
