btw. Doesn't Joburg (including paid-up suburbs) get up to 8 hours of load shedding a day on stage 3?

I see that they refer to the dorp Graskop in Mpumalanga. I remember the town well when I used to ride motorbikes in the area over long weekends

I wonder which population group of the Graskop population does not pay their electricity bills, resulting in the Graskop municipality not paying Eishkom?

I feel for those residents that DO pay their local municipality

“People steal electricity and it costs the municipality almost R4m every month. Now they want to blame the municipality,” said Ncongwane.

“I addressed the community about the problems the municipality is facing. We have entered into repayment negotiations with Eskom. People should start taking responsibility for their own actions and stop spreading lies about the mayor.”

a) They "steal" the electricity from you, not Eskom. You fix it and pay Eskom.
b) You are the mayor. Lead.
c) I am 98% sure you are an ANC politician. No mercy. Suck it up.

Next time remember to pay your bills.

I don't think it is so simple as you say it is. The people like the restaurant owner most likely paid their bill but still got cut.

These cut off's although I understand why Eskom is doing it is causing too much collateral damage.

R260m / R4m per month => 65months.
The municipality had 5 years 5 months to fix the electricity theft issue.
The blame is squarely with Ncongwane.

Yeah, its 2x4.5hours a day(the .5 is for switchover) so 9 hours depending on switch over time, and then another 4-7 when sub stations blow:)

But we won't get an article as we pay our bills so its humane to do it to us

I hope all these people complaining didn't vote for the ANC in the last general election.

I blame Hitler and the Jews. Oh and Rhodes Memorial must be demolished.

Can we burn that restaurant in Soweto yet?
