There is this really nice app called Suppa Time, but it is paid for. Does anyone know of a free app that reminds you when to take your vitamins and when to eat etc?

Alarm Clock.

No, but thanks. I found simple meal reminder, but it is also limited. I probably need to write my own app for what I want and no-one else will probably find it useful.

Sorry, I don't eat by the clock, so I find hard to imagine a scenario that the default calendar or clock won't be able to handle...

friend was a genius, got the HD2 (with full intention of using the DHD rom on it) works fine, no hassles, cost him R2.7k

Total noob here, so apologies for sounding dumb :D

I have the LG P500. It's running Froyo (2.2)

It's a bit frustrating because there is some lag on the phone. like when you access the address book / contacts ( probably .3 /. 4 seconds) There is also lag when I play Angry birds. The frame rate stutters ( I downloaded gears and it records my FPS at best 65, avg is around 60). There is also lag when accessing the camera ( probably 2 seconds to enter and 2 to exit)

As you can imagine, it's quite frustrating. Is it possible with rooting and updating my OS that my performance will increase? and If so, how do i do this. Bear in my mind, I know nothing about things like this.

I also believe that LG said that the p500 will get 2.3 but they have not confirmed the date.

any help is appreciated.

thanks

Anyone here have a Android Device and a iPhone?

I have an iPhone 4 32Gb, my wife has an iPhone 4 16Gb and my son has her old iPhone 3GS (think it's the 16Gb one) and I have just got off the phone after ordering a SAMSUNG P1 Galaxy TAB :) (need it for development and e-book reader ;) ) just couldn't justify the price of an iPAD 2, which I would love and besides the APPLE "cripple" of not being able to use Flash puts me off!

So in answer to your question... YES :) (well in the next few days)

Could you guys perhaps answer some questions on rooting?

Would rooting prevent me from getting updated from the original manufacturer? If no I assume I will have to re-root the phone after I update?
By this I mean for instance let's say I get a SE phone and SE releases it's version of the latest Droid OS can I get that? and do I then have to re-root? or will I just have to flash future updates myself if I choose to root? What about SE specific stuff like Timescape, will it still work?

Does rooting clear data or only unlock priviliges? By that I mean let's say for instance I download Angry Birds and then root...will Angry Birds still be on the phone or do I start with a clean slate?

Custom roms I assume completely change and wipe the apps on the phone so after every new rom I would basically have to start from scratch?
