It has to unfortunately get even worse than this before it can get better.

..Edusolutions were ahead of the plan according to this ...

"The company’s new Gauteng contract states that EduSolutions must ensure 375 schools in the province are “paperless” by 31 October – which experts predict won’t take place"

They made sure the schools didn't get any paper textbooks :)

Its just that the government took too long to decide on the tablets for schools.

Just a misunderstanding of Cultcha. Merit/performance/responsibility...these concepts are so yesterday.

Must be a really connected Cadre to win the tender again against all reason and common sense.

Ha ha. They have already shown they can leave schools paperless, in fact entirely text-book free

I hope schools don't become tablet-less as well

To paraphrase something from Agents of SHIELD:

Of course it is. ANC government contracts have nothing to do with the object of the contrace, but are simply a method to steal money from the tax payer and put it into zuma's friends and relative's pockets. Fulfilment of the contract is not part of the objective.

Will they store all their assignments on cloud servers?
What would happen if the tablet malfunction or is stolen?
What if the pupil resides in an area where there is no coverage?

Yes. The emergency personnel now fear going into some townships due to the threat of being attacked for their tablets.

My bet is that even if these tablets ARE delivered to the schools successfully it will be less than a year and all the tablets will have been stolen. But hey, that would just be another tender opportunity to steal more taxpayer money!!
