An interaction can be be pleasant without the person having to be nice.... a completely professional and efficient experience can be pleasant.

Especially when you're expecting it to be a vulture like and unhappy expensive experience.
Pleasant = nice.

or because a few of them have been caught damaging traffic lights to generate business.
I have zero respect for them. Today one came flying through a red light off to an accident no doubt and this young girl in a Picanto slammed on brakes to avoid the oxygen thief and almost got rear ended by a 4 ton truck in the process. Pointless going into Karen mode and complaining to the company because they don't give a fuk either.

I have seen these tow truck drivers obstruct the only open traffic lane and actually causing traffic gridlock and when I tried to show him to move his ..., truck he was becoming very intimidating and aggressive. My take these guys have IQ of 80 or less. Do not engage them and avoid avoid if you can. They are not vultures they are hyeanas!!

When it comes to crazy prices, these guys must take a backseat to solar installers.
