Conquering and enslaving has proven effective for the likes of the Brits and French

All of that should of been covered in the previous seasons. So you want the ending to be Deus Ex Machina'ed like every major issue since season 5?

Feels like there is too much left to wrap up in just 3 episodes even with the Night King just getting the one episode. No matter what they do now, it will disappoint many.

Feels like they got too many episodes. Unless we going to see Danny vs Jon.

It's not that many. Next one is the build-up to the battle, then episode 5 is the battle, then episode 6 wraps up 8 seasons of story arcs. Not too much time there. It's going to feel rushed and a lot is going to be left unanswered.
