We might have survived this, if we did not have the ANC running the show the last 28 Years. Now we have failed SOE's, failed infrastructure, failed sanitation, failed Eskom and BEE to top it all off.

We will be hit the hardest, by recession seeing unemployment is already record high!

we are already in a global recession, banks are just covering its effects with money printing, and the effectiveness of that money printing is starting to fade quickly and the costs of the money printing are starting to be felt more strongly

Economists... Always take their opinions with a grain of salt. 99% of the time they're wrong.

According to doomsday economist Dawie Roodt, the Rand would have hit R20 to the dollar in 2012 already. He has been wrong every single time.
100%. I sometimes wonder what the purpose of articles like these are.

They must turn the money printer back on, BTC must climb again like when those stimulus cheques showed up

So "it would have been OK, but now..." - do you realise how long South Africans and others have been saying that?
It's always "it could have been... Would have been, if not for...."

But drama is the drug.

Its been at a record high for some time now. Have you been able to eat 3 meals a day? I know many people who couldn't do that 50-80 years ago and still loved life.

Today it's "woe is me, I can't afford a gym membership anymore", or "have you seen the price of a console or graphics cards these days!?"...
Or "I can't afford the petrol to drive 1100km to visit my mom"... But you can pick up the phone in your pocket and call her any time of day. This isn't the 1940s and you don't have ro use cattle carts.

It absolutely is.
Life is not about the dollars and cents, it's about what happens in your head. Loads of people, with everything to be thankful for, kill themselves every year because they believe life is too hard, while so many people apparently on their last crust cling onto life with all they have and are thankful for that crust.

Perception is everything.
I agree, some people are very prepared because life in Africa is harder. The fact remains that SA is still less prepared than any 1st world country. It might only have a small minority that is preparing itself at their own cost.

Cash, gold and silver under your bed with enough firearms and ammo to protect it. This is how you will save your investments.
