@Telkom Mobile is it possible to get an iPad Mini + iPhone 5C/5S on a single contract that shares the same pool of data?

Obviously this isn't on your website so what I would really want to figure out is could I take an iPhone 5S/C contract and simply bolt on the device charge for the iPad Mini and then use both devices from that phone's contract?

Or would I need to buy the iPad Mini elsewhere in cash, but still be able to share the data between the two devices?


Getting everyone on one contract is one of the primary reasons I'm considering Telkom Mobile and moving away from Vodacom for their ridiculously *** offers on the new iPhone.

You can have one contract, then pay R9 a month extra for a multi sim, and another device can share the same contract's data.

I see the 5G Telkom mobile data on Smartplans has now been downgraded to 2GB. They now charge you R40 less for a S4 on a Smart 100 but with 3GB less data.

Not cool Telkom, not cool.

I dont understand.

When you could get the Note 2 on a Smartplan 150 for R299, I told everyone that it is the best mobile phone contract in South Africa, but still people wouldn't get a Telkom Mobile contract.

Now that its gone, you're unhappy.

Sometimes you just need to trust your gutt feel more.

I already have one Smart contract with 5GB data. I wanted to take another in June/July (when my other contract expires with vodacon) - I PMed the rep here a month ago to find out if the 5GB would remain, he could not tell me. If I had some sort of heads up I could have taken another while it was still available and just pay for the 2 contracts until June...

That wasn't the only thing holding me back TBH, I also wanted to see how the S5 & S4 contracts look once the S5 becomes available.
