Raising interest rates in a screwed up sh*thole such as this one, will be even worse than the Eskom train smash

But it will help a lot of pensioners many of whom have some of their income from interest and had bond rates of up to 25% at times with the usual rate around 14%.

Well to be honest.. if 2% makes you lose your house then that was bad planning.
Do you think SA citizens do good planning?

Interest rates got cut and banks and gurus and media went wild NOW is the time to buy !! crazy talk like a 2 year interest cut will make up for a 30 year bond

The consequences if they don't increase interest rates would be even worse.
What are the consequences? Nowhere in history did high-interest rates do any good.

Lower is better, remove fuel levies and you have a roaring economy.

Lower interest rates lead to less foreign investment which leads to rand depreciation which leads to higher inflation. Higher interest rates suck for those who've overindebted themselves, but it's great news for investors.

ANC is a bigger risk, our interest rates even at current levels are high AF globally.
The ANC will be the cause of hyperinflation, not current interest rates.
