Hmm, we need circulation quality R10, R20 and R50 coins.

Everything under 50c needs to go.

Considering that the Rand is worth less than 1/100th of what it used to be, this is well overdue.

Just to get a proper grip in what I am saying, in the early seventies a tin of Coke cost 10c, and a four bar KitKat was 5c. A 1600cc Ford Escort Sport was R2294.

The biggest coin in those days was 50c, ie you could buy 10 Kitkats with it.

Do the math, we really need a R50 coin.

But the Reserve Bank won't do it, because it is an admission of failure.
