“For a long time, the first-time home-buyer market in Cape Town hasn’t been easy to penetrate, and I wanted to change that,” said Dawie Swart, CEO of asset-management company Investicore which owns The Pinnacle.

So you decided to penetrate the buyers instead.

Man that is so depressing. You can live there if you have no life at all - just work. Work from 6AM to 8PM, eat and then sleep. Rinse and repeat.

Considering this is right in the city centre, over the road from the Cape Sun, R1.2m is not actually bad at all, even though it's small.

Wouldn't want to live there permanently, but there is a use case for people who maybe live far out of town and can stay there during the week - R1.2m plus a relatively inexpensive property in a neighbouring town could actually work out way cheaper than a single very expensive property close to the CBD. Also, for people who commute from JHB very regularly and who are sick of hotels and B&Bs this could be a viable option.

I remember years ago taking a friend apartment hunting.
The one place we looked at was a bachelor unit in a complex in Midrand.
It was about the same size and layout, minus the fancy glass wall. (I hope its shatterproof)
I took one look at the place and told her - 'You know what you do in a place like this when you get home from work? Sit on the edge of the bed, look at the wall, and cry.'

Ditto for this one.

EDIT - has anyone noticed the handy foldout table in the 'hallway'? Neat, your date can walk right in, and sit down to eat. Or use the bathroom. You'll have to piss over the balcony, obviously.

When you bring your date back to your place, and that super hot Vindaloo you ate earlier strikes, she will be able to hear and smell everything. Very romantic! There is no getting away!

48 apartments have already been sold off plan, with prices starting at R1.25 million for a 31 sqm micro-apartment. Alternatively, a 36 sqm micro-apartment will set you back R2 million.

4 more square metres costs an extra R750K? o_O
