Hi Peeps.

Does anyone know where I can get one of these? (Attached)

My local battery centre can't seem to tell me!?
It's the battery that connects to my generator for electric key starting it.

So I can just use a bike battery?

As long as it is powerful enough to turn the starter motor then it should be fine.

Just make sure it charges (correct charge voltage etc) at the same time the generator is running though.

But don't come and sue me if something gets damaged or broken though... :)

FWIW the sealed batteries is much better as there can't be any spills or leakages as from a normal battery.

Hmmmm.... I don't know why my local battery centre could not help me then.
Ok so as long as I get something similar to: 12v15Ah/20HR rechargeable, I should be fine.....

I think the sealed batteries are more compact than traditional batteries, or I may be mistaken...

But do let us know what happens, if it works or not.

Thanks catman37 I was just looking at their site.
I'm assuming the 18Ah is a better option than the 12Ah if my current battery is 15Ah?

Well I managed to start it ok today with my motorbike battery that is a 12v 11.6Ah - So I think I'll go for the 12v12Ah mentioned above.

Just make sure that the terminals are correct as these on the 12 Ah battery look like push-on terminals.
