At a family gathering today I had the pleasure of meeting someone who owns a firm that is a partner in a deal with sentech and who is also a MyWi subscriber.
Accordingly he of course has had bad experiences with sentech from both a client <-> provider view and a partner <-> partner perspective. (Thou I did not ask why he signed up for MyWi knowing the type of business that they do)
I chatted to him about the forum (he was already aware of it as he has ADSL as well) and he told me he had heard that others were having problems (this was from an article in the Sunday Times: Nice one RoDent!)
I put the point to him that i thought Sentech were trying to screw us out of money whilst stone-walling all our complaints. He disagreed completely, in his opinion Sentech are too incompetent to even comprehend that. According to him the whole company is managed by incompetent idiots, further more, he reckons that even if they were trying to screw us over they would bugger it up.
The point of this post? Well i guess if this is true i take some comfort in the knowledge that they are a bunch of fools who are not aware of what they are doing (in terms of running a business & running an ISP), as opposed to a bunch of money-hungry bandwidth whores (like telkom).
So, in theory there is hope for the future:
The idiots can get replaced by lesser idiots and they sort out their problems
