Natural gas, clean energy all a f***ing big sham. With the current world population and requirements clean energy is not possible in any event. Even if the whole world runs on electric vehicles, use windturbines and all the waves of all the oceans, rivers and use all the sun rays, we will still rely on coal burning facilities to generate power.

Time this scam gets put to sleep.

When my natural gases are released it sounds like one of those American 18 wheelers just went past.

Oh so they want me to use a 9kg cylinder in my car....
Just one problem with that... there's always "shortages" and the cnuts want their "Green cylinders" back
Good luck to keeping the car running in July when nobody has gas, artificial shortage created by the commies to punish the population

That's fine, its all these these companies and organisations calling for a single solution that are just promoting self interest.
A spread of power between solar, wind, nuclear, coal, gas etc is what we need until fusion and other new energy sources come around.

That I am all fine with. A spread between them all will work. One thing though, coal will still be the biggest player and there is no way getting around that.

We could just harvest the accidental emissions from our Energy minister since he's been pushing for coal so hard that he might pop at any moment.

No, with all the alcohol fumes the energy density will be too high and he'll blow up the generator.

I don't see a need for coal to be the biggest especially with the rising costs of coal fired generation. If you have a decent amount of storage solar can eat into the baseload as can wind and obviously nuclear and gas. The ideal is to be over provisioned so you can shift away from coal and gas on days when solar and wind generation is good.

My understanding is your car is converted to dual fuel, so you can run it either on petrol or gas and it can switch between the two, so if gas is not available, you just put petrol in?

You're confusing 2 very different products.

The 9kg cylinders you're talking about hold LPG, mainly propane and butane.

This article is about CNG, mostly methane and some ethane.

I love natural gases, it is carbon free and how I am adjusting my lifestyle to save our planet

The chemical formula for methane is CH4. The "C" is for carbon.

A R10.50 per litre alternative to South Africa’s record-high petrol price

The use of natural gases could be an alternative to South Africa's record-high petrol prices, says CNG Holdings Group, a company that specialises in compressed natural gas.
First: The lack of blatant theft from government officials resulting in increased taxes would be an alternative to South Africa's record-high petrol price.

Then, we can start looking at renewables or lower carbon emissions.
