A Smilier Design or How To Do It Myself

Anyone out there know of a similar free design as the www.paulsmith.co.uk landing page or at least have a suggestion as how I can achieve a similar design (changing picture as full background that resizes as the page size is changed with a simple navigation bar)? I just want it to be simple and slick like this website.

That's flash, you'll need someone to design something similar from scratch in FlashMX or something similar.

Fantastic, ill check it out. Any one know any tutorials similar because Ive never programmed in flash, even though I have all of CS, but would love to be able to customize the text and what nots?

Get the program first. It's part of the Adobe CS Suite. But can be sourced, standalone.

The built in help files should get you going, other than that, I'm sure google has the answers..

As I said have already got flash. I grew up learning photoshop so no it well but allas I dont know flash. Unfortunately ive been struggling with Google thats why I came here straight. Thanks for the help.

flash suxs lately so I would look for alternatives or try something like swish www.swishzone.com/

the flash image on his frontpage is a waste of time anyway, rather use .css and create a fullscreen bg image

If you still want to go the flash way visit:

quick tut:

open flash --- choose movie size ---- choose frame rate - import image --- position said image --- export to .swf
