To bring the R479pm 24/7 unlimited 4G deal more in line with the R250pm 19hours offpeak unlimited deal they should consider the following changes:

1) Make the R479pm 24/7 unlimited deal unthrottled and unshaped from 11pm to 6pm daily, in the same way as the R250pm 19 hours offpeak unlimited deal is unthrottled and unshaped.

2) From 6pm to 11pm (i.e. 5hours evening peak time) throttle the line speed to 10mbps and shape streaming to 720p for the R479pm 24/7 deal.

The above suggestions will result in RAIN's two 4G unlimited offerings being more closely aligned in terms of fairness and more equitable to the higher paying R479pm 24/7 subscribers.

In its current form the way the two deals are structured it is clear the R479pm 24/7 subscribers are being given a raw deal compared to the R250pm 19hours offpeak subscribers.

Just my thoughts and opinion

The R479pm 24/7 unlimited deal subscribers are UNFAIRLY subsidising the R250pm 19 hours unlimited deal subscribers at present it seems.

Your suggestions are excellent and will ensure a good level of fairness to the R479pm 24/7 unlimited deal subscribers.

Agree fully with your thoughts.

Excellent suggestions !

Let's hope the RAIN rep on the forum reads this thread and forwards your suggestions to RAIN management, because the R479pm 24/7 unlimited deal in its present form is a fail.

Or, you could just not choose this product if it does not fit your needs. A revolutionary idea, I know.

Additionally, would be cool if they have a more expensive package, like R900-R1200 that gives you good speeds 24/7.

If you’re happy with the package as it is then you don’t have to comment on this thread, start your own where you can praise it with those who feel like you.

Fair point, it's just that I hate entitled people who want everything to bend to thier whims. Is is so difficult to look a product that a company is offering and say "meh, this doesn't fit my needs". But no, some people have to whine and whine until someone does exactly as they want. I hate it!

Same way you can look at a thread on Mybb and say “Nah, this is not for me”. Yet here you are. Majority of 24/7 users are going to agree with him because at the very least, that’s how that package was supposed to be structured.

At the end of the day, it comes down to one thing. If you don't like the product they are offering, don't use it.

At this time, no other 4g mobile network offers 24/7 offerings. NO ONE!

Strange that the same complaints for 24/7 isn't directed at the big networks Vodacom - MTN - Telkom and Cell C.

So with that. Stay home and stay safe.

The suggestion (complaint) is directed at RAIN simply because of the unequal manner in which THEIR TWO UNLIMITED PRODUCT OFFERINGS are structured (when compared to each other).

So in essence you're saying the Premium product isn't value for money?

I like the suggestion that Tim made. Just seems like Rain has now two offerings for different markets.

In my opinion the subscribers of the R479 product are being unfairly and negatively prejudiced, while subscribers of the R250 product are not.

In essence I'm saying RAIN should level the playing field between the R479 product subscribers and the R250 product subscribers with the suggestions I outlined.

So the R479 product isn't good value for money then?

If I remember correctly, the R250 offering was an promotional offer that was going to end at some time. Beginning of this year I think and they carrying on.

People asked them for a 24/7 offering and they delivered. Though not what people expected. I wonder now how long the R250 offering will be available.
