I'm inclined to go with Shake&Bake's opinion that he didn't get over his grief properly ......... it makes the most sense. Knowing how it affected me, I can see how it might not be so easy for someone else.
 
how can sex go bad?

for men even bad sex is great sex unless the women chirps that you sucked or something but then still ITS SEX

now i can understand a lady who had a bad experience but not a man
