Reminds me of this incident
In September last year, an ITV documentary, Gaddafi and the IRA, ran a clip that they claimed to show an IRA attack on a helicopter. It was actually footage from ARMA 2 . While most of the world facepalmed, British TV regulator, Ofcom, launched an investigation. Their verdict is in. They're not impressed.

The Guardian report Ofcom's findings, which declared the film "materially misleading" and labelled the error "a significant breach of audience trust, particularly in the context of a public service broadcaster."

ITV said that a compliance officer had expressed concern about the footage, but the producers failed to check it. "We considered that there were clear deficiencies in the steps taken by both production and compliance staff for sourcing and verifying the archival content of the helicopter attack in this programme," Ofcom concluded.

I dont see the Russians at the party, unless I'm missing something.

Russia stands to gain the most from this

Something far bigger was at play here; the end of US influence in Syria and the plunge in its status elsewhere. The public handover on show was that between the Assad regime and the Kurds, but the real power shift was between Washington – whose fighting troops have all but left the region, 16 years after invading Iraq – and Moscow, whose reach and influence across the Middle East has now been cemented.

As if to celebrate the moment, Vladimir Putin arrived in Riyadh for a state visit on Monday, his first in 12 years, hosted by Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, who three weeks earlier had similarly felt the humiliation of abandonment by US allies.

After Iran launched an attack against the kingdom’s oil production centres, the crown prince was expecting a US retaliation. None was forthcoming, and he felt abandoned by an ally that had sworn to protect Saudi interests. “Did you see what they [the US] did to us?” the crown prince asked Iraqi leaders in Riyadh a fortnight ago. “It was unbelievable.”

It's Kurdish armed forces and Kurdish civilians. The armed forces are, or at least were, allies in the war against ISIS.

Trump is the one undoing Obama's work, for no apparent reason. It's the most baffling decision he's made so far in an entire presidency marked by unfathomable chaos. Even Trump's own GOP allies have turned against him on this.

For someone who lives in the Politics section of MyBB, you are completely clueless. You are well aware that Turkey is an Allie by NATO. They have no dog in this fight and are forced to pull out. Turkey is saying it's a threat to their border. So what would you have done?

And so what? You whine that the US is pulling out because of their NATO alliance with Turkey. Russians and Assad back the Kurds now that is an issue too.

The amusing thing is how your hatred and obsession with Trump is making you completely oblivious to the happenings surrounding that area.

Smoke and mirrors. I wonder who he is paying for these narratives? What I don't get is... Who exactly are CNN and ABC supporting in all this. They may as well be on Trump's payroll for all the good they're doing.

I see the US are looking at options to remove the 50 odd nukes they store in Turkey.

TDS, at it's best.

Indeed.

The brazen hypocrisy is astounding.

Who was the crowd who defended Obama's dithering on Syria when the regime was barrel bombing civilians and allowed the Russians to move in and get involved in the first place?

Who was the crowd that supported Obama and dems demands for the US pull out of Iraq and abandon not only the Iraqi Kurds but all Iraqis to Al aqaeda in Iraq and Shia death squads. Both sides determined to unleash an ethnic cleansing bloodbath in the country?

Lastly, who was the crowd that championed the man who launched this assault against the Kurds in the first place?

The same liberals now feigning moral outrage over Trump's actions.....

And this is what pisses me of, especially by those on MyBB. Like I said, if this was a move by Obama they would all be on their knees waiting to suck his cock for his greatness.

They are so blinded by their hatred for Trump that all logic goes flying out the window every time his name is mentioned... It's actually rather entertaining and proof as to why Trump will have a second term.

Yeah, noted liberals like ... checks notes .. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham.

Strange how with all of trump's hot air about extracting the US from the Middle East, he sends an additional 3000 troops, 2 fighter squadrons, an Expeditionary Air wing, 2 Patriot SAM batteries and 1 THAAD battery to Saudi Arabia.

How is that strange? You do realise they still have assets and personal there right? You think you just tell your troops to grab their duffel-bags and jump on a plane in an extraction?

Yeah, noted American asset the Saudi Arabian Aramco oil storage facility. That is what they are protecting.

The USA no longer had a base in Saudi until this move. They are moving back to a base they deserted in 2004.

SELF INTEREST ( of a particular and specific demographic )
Bottom line -- THAT -- is ALL the US government worries about
"THEY" spin a beautiful web to cover it all up !
